Welder

RESPONSIBLE TO Welding Foreman
ObjectIVE To perForm welding activities in accordance with his qualification
and company specification.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• To become familiar with and maintain awareness of the relevant Company requirements and
where applicable, the latest industry codes and standards including statutory rules and
regulations.
• To perForm duties of welding and piping for the construction or repair of parts of the plant
and particulars of machines and equipment, using an electric welder, oxyacetylene
equipment and portable electric grinder.
• To maintain the equipment entrusted to him.
• To report any irregularities he notices while carrying out these duties to his superior.
• To carry out his work in a manner consistent with the Company’s safety directives.
• To perForm welding and cutting operations on deck during platForm installation and on
adjacent cargo barges.
AUTHORITY
• To perForm welding operations within the frame of his responsibilities and as directed by
the welding foreman.
• Stop welding activities if required on safety grounds if to continue could cause any damage
or injury.
QUALIFICATIONS
• As per Company external qualification and training matrix.
• Basic English.
EXPERIENCE
• Welding qualification test successfully achieved.
