Role Overview: Port Engineer/Port Captain

Basis: Permanent preferred

Indicative Rate: Attractive market rate


Our client is looking for a Port Engineer/Port Captain for the work in Saudi. They require someone with at least 4 years of experience as Chief Engineer on Self Propelled Jack-up barges OR 10 years of Marine Engineer experience and 3 years as onshore Engineer/ Technical Superintendent in a Marine environment maintaining fleet of Self Propelled Jack-up barges. Must have good understanding of all marine systems and machinery.


Qualifications & Experience:

• Class One Certificate of Competency (Motor) STCW95 or equivalent.
• Ability to act as relief for key vessel personnel.
• Knowledge of ISPS, ISM and Classifications Society procedures.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook is essential. Knowledge in other MS Office package such as Power Point and Project would be an advantage.
• Ability to deal with people tactfully and effectively.
• Ability to delegate and man manage maintenance teams and sub-contractors.
